Church180 is a new church in South San Diego that helps people turn toward hope by following Jesus. We have children’s programming for ages Birth through 6th grade and would love to connect with you and your family soon!
Meet Our Founding Pastor
Our Founding Pastor is Tony Collins. Tony and his wife Kelsey have been married for nineteen years and have many years of experience doing ministry together. They have been a part of church planting for six years in New Zealand before moving to southern California in 2016 and preparing to launch Church180. They have three daughters and one son: Ruthie (13), Ginny (11), Charlotte (9) and William (6). Their favorite activities include doing anything as a family, hanging with friends, and outdoor adventures.
Tony and Kelsey founded Church180 with the conviction that many of us are looking for hope in so many things throughout our life. This could be our image, achievements, successes, resources, or relationships. While those things aren’t necessarily bad, they don’t offer hope that lasts when any of them go sideways or don’t turn out how we imagined.
Church180 is founded on the fact that Jesus is our source of lasting hope to bring healing and renewal to our lives, communities, and world.

Baptism
Throughout the New Testament of the Bible when a person makes their own choice to become a follower of Jesus we see that they get baptized. Baptism by immersion is representative of the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus as well as your death and burial to life before Jesus and resurrection to new life in Him.

Generosity Fuels Hope
We believe that generosity is the fuel Jesus uses to help people “turn toward hope” in Himself.
Jesus talked about money more than anything else recorded. He knew the power it could have over our lives. You can’t worship what you give away, but you can worship with what you give away.

What to Expect at Church180
Walking into a church for the first time can feel like a big step — we want to make it an easy one. Here's what a Sunday at Church180 in South San Diego looks like.
How long is the service?
Our Sunday service is usually 75 minutes long.
What should I wear?
Our dress code is casual. Come as you are.
Is there something for my kids?
Yes! We have a kids ministry for ages birth through 6th grade.
Where do I park?
Use the parking lot off of Olympic Parkway and follow the signs in.

Our Statement of Beliefs
What We Believe
One God
There is one God, creator of all things, who is all-knowing, all-powerful, and perfectly good. God mysteriously exists forever in three persons— God the Father, God the Son (Jesus), and God the Holy Spirit. God loves us and desires to be in a relationship with us.
Sin
Sin is a problem— for us and for God. Sin is rebellion against God’s authority in our life, which is something of which everyone is guilty. Sin breaks our relationship with God. The only way for the relationship to be repaired is for sin to be removed, which we cannot do on our own.
Jesus
Jesus, who is eternally God, also became fully human through a miraculous birth. He lived a perfect life, died an innocent death, and rose victoriously from the grave. In this way, Jesus paid the penalty for sin and defeated the power of sin to bring eternal life to all who believe in Him.
Eternal Life
Eternal Life is a gift from God available to all who believe in Jesus as Savior and Lord. Those who believe in Jesus while striving to obey Him in this life will enjoy eternity in His presence. Those who reject Jesus in this life will be separated from Him forever in hell.
The Holy Spirit
The Holy Spirit, who is eternally God, indwells followers of Jesus at the point of salvation. The Holy Spirit enables people to become more like Jesus and bring more people to Jesus.
The Bible
The Bible was written, without error, by human authors who were perfectly inspired by God. Therefore, the Bible has authority in matters of life and doctrine. The Bible tells one consistent story of God’s plan to redeem the world through Jesus.
The Church
The Church is a community of people centered around Jesus, committed to each other, and called to make disciples of Jesus in relationships. The Church is God’s chosen means to bring the Good News of Jesus to our lost and broken world.
What We Do
Communion
We take communion each week to remember and proclaim the hope we have through the death and resurrection of Jesus. This sacrament is open to all believers in order to remember the work of Jesus and reflect on its significance.
Baptism
We baptize people through immersion as Jesus and the early apostles taught. This is a step of obedience on our journey of turning toward hope by following Jesus.
